North Carolina State run Liquor Stores Pick ID-e for reading their Encrypted 2D bar code License
for protection from Fake Id's.
The operations dept of the North Carolina State run Liquor Store was very aware of the trouble reading the Encrypted 2D bar Code on the License for over 7 years. "Today's N. Carolina License is NOT Encrypted. But we have so many Collage kids in our Stores we had to do something to help spot Fake Id's. For Age Verification in the State Run Stores.
"Early in 2004 The state of Maryland looked at 4 systems to Scan Driver License and State Id's. We liked the simple operation and ease of viewing the data scanned." Said Operations Mgr. Peter Frazer.
"Now in 2007 we are adding new stores and adding a second scanner to each location because the scanners have proved themselves to be so valuable".

Testing the readers was the hardest part mr. Jeserson of the OLGC operations dept. "We looked at 4 different systems over about a 6 month testing period. The ID-e Reader had superior Magnetic Strip reading capability and reliability. It was far more easy to use than the other systems and frankly my people liked the fact you could not make a mistake and break the unit or software inside."
